Kent animal shelter sees major expansion

Puppy

KentReporter.com is reporting that the King County animal shelter in Kent is about to be expanded.  The existing structure will add 3,000 sq ft to improve the quality of housing for the animals, and will add a vet technician program on site.

According to David Leohndorf, the veterinary nursing programs director for PIMA, "There's a huge demand for vet techs".  The 66 week vet tech program has a new unit starting every 6 weeks, with a classroom handling up to 24 students.

The official plan is to have a grand opening in January, but could start using the facilities in December.

Continuing to Grow

Seattle_Met_Cover2

Kent and Covington, we are continuing to thrive! ! Just last year Kent was voted number ONE "Best place to live" by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine

We also have more reason to celebrate as we welcome Costco opening in Covington on the 25th. Showing how we remain a force to be reckoned with through these exciting times.

Kent Events Center

Kent grows again!  While the Kent Commons enriches our downtown area with it's public recreational facility and cultural activities (among other things) the Kent Events Center will balance that out nicely as our first professional sports arena and home of the Seattle Thunderbirds.  My family can hardly wait to have a major league sports team in town!
