School is out when? What will I do with the kids this summer?

School will be out before you know it and we need to keep those little darlings busy.  Camp Zinzanni, Cookaicious Club, French or German Emersion are only a few of the day camp options in our area.  Check out your options at http://www.parentmap.com/component/option,com_pmdirectory/page,0/activity,13-124.  Reserve your spots early!

Happy Holidays!

Holiday_Ecard-2008

What an unusual holiday season we've had!  Please make sure  you keep an eye on the weather and have plenty of supplies at home.

If you find yourself experiencing some cabin fever this winter check out Things to Do When You Get Snowed In.  I was snowed in last weekend and unfortunately all I could think of was baking!

Tips to help winterize your car

Frozen

Our friends at Road & Travel Magazine have put together some helpful tips when dealing with harsh winter weather conditions.  It's always a good idea to check your local news reports to see what the weather will be like, and always give yourself extra time getting to your destination.  Here are a few other helpful tips that can make this winter season a safe one:

  • Check windshield wiper blades to make sure they work properly
  • Keep your gas tank half full.  The extra volume can help reduce moisture (which can freeze and cause problems.  It also adds weight to your car that can help with traction.
  • Always turn on your lights so that others can see you.
  • If you don't have to go anywhere, don't.

Keeping these tips in mind will help you stay safe this winter.  Happy holidays!
